The Freshman Cook: Cherry Pie Bites/Day 4 of 14 Days of Valentine's/#Foodie Extravaganza

Today we are celebrating Valentine’s day with

Cherry Pie Bites!

Today is also the day for

February Foodie Extravaganza!

This month’s main ingredient is cherries

which makes this recipe perfect for both parties!

These Cherry Pie Bites are simple, simple, simple!

I would have loved to use fresh cherries, but I called everywhere

I could think of, and no one has fresh cherries here in North Carolina yet!

So, I used canned cherries and pre made pie crust for

the easiest pie bites ever!

Cherry Pie Bites

1 can Cherry Pie Filling

1 package Pie Crust

1/2 pound Milk Chocolate -melted 4-5 tablespoons Butter-melted

1-2 tablespoons Sugar

preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cut out a heart design from your pie crust.

Place a couple cherries on half of the hearts.

I used a small and a large cherry so they would

fit well, but also fill up the heart.

Put the top pie crust on top of the cherries, and then

using a fork, go around the little pie,

crimping the edges together.

Make a small design in the center of your pie.

This will let the steam escape.
Spread your butter over the top of the pie bites.
Sprinkle with a bit of sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let pies cool completely. Drizzle melted chocolate over pies.
Enjoy your Cherry Pie Bites!

Thank you for stopping by!
