Chocolate Cherry Crostini

I just love fresh cherries, don't you? They are one of my favorites and this year they taste so incredibly good. I wanted to make something a little different, so I came up with this Chocolate Cherry Crostini dessert. The crostini are actually pound cake slices that are toasted, and then topped with an incredible cherry sauce, chocolate and a few other delectable goodies that make this the perfect summertime treat!

Freedom Stars!

I love the 4th of July, don't you? I love the picnics, the family time, the games, the fireworks and of course, the food! But my favorite thing is that we are celebrating this wonderful country we are lucky enough to live in. So what would be better to eat on this day than Freedom Stars! They are red, white and blue rice krispie treats cut into stars. Simple, sweet and pure American!

It's time for blueberries, which for me, means Panna Cotta topped with a Blueberry Compote! I love blueberries and don't you think they are the perfect summertime fruit? Panna Cotta is easy to make, and the blueberry compote is just as easy. Plus, I used Truvia instead of sugar for fewer calories. The best part is that they have to be made ahead of time, so it is the perfect dessert!

Dad's Cookies

I was thinking about what kind of cookie is a Dad Cookie. I mean, there is really no such thing as a manly cookie~is there? So I thought about all the types of cookies I have made in my life and which ones the two men in my life liked the most and I came up with Dad's Cookies. There is no scientific evidence that states that these cookies are only for dad's, but I think he will love them!

Beach Cookies!

How about a Beach Cookie to start your week and ward off the Monday blahs! Last week I was making a bunch of beach themed cookies when I came across some beachy cookies on Cake Central. I love to look at all the cookie designs and I fell in love with the pretty simplicity of this beach cookie. This cookie was submitted by Sassyzan. Well, Sassyzan's post sent me to Montreal Confections where she gave step by step video directions on how to make this cookie. Trust me, it is easy and simple to follow. You can use your own sugar cookie recipe, or use my favorite "go to" cookie and frosting recipe!

Potato Perfection with the Ozeri Green Earth Pan!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.  I have been lucky enough to review the Ozeri Green Earth Pan, and I can't wait to tell you how I used it to cook the perfect potatoes.  I say lucky because I LOVE this pan! It is without a doubt the best nonstick pan I have ever used. First of all, the Green Earth Pan is absolutely 100% free of PTFE, PFOA, and other harmful chemicals. Even under high temperatures, the Green Earth Pan's ceramic coating makes sure no harmful toxic fumes will ever be released. The ceramic non-stick coating and elevated texture inside creates air pockets which helps distribute the heat under the food. This pan is the perfect size at 10".

Lime and White Chocolate Cookies

When I think of food and summertime, one of the first things that crosses my mind is citrus. Citrus gives  these Lime and White Chocolate Cookies a spark of flavor that tickles your tongue and lingers on your lips. It is the best in breads, salads, and marinades, and of course, it is perfection all by itself! Not only are these cookies baked with a bit of limeade concentrate, they are topped with a lime glaze and sprinkled with lime zest. You will remember these cookies long after they are gone. And they will disappear fast!
