The Freshman Cook: Potato Perfection with the Ozeri Green Earth Pan!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.  I have been lucky enough to review the Ozeri Green Earth Pan, and I can’t wait to tell you how I used it to cook the perfect potatoes.  I say lucky because I LOVE this pan! It is without a doubt the best nonstick pan I have ever used. First of all, the Green Earth Pan is absolutely 100% free of PTFE, PFOA, and other harmful chemicals. Even under high temperatures, the Green Earth Pan’s ceramic coating makes sure no harmful toxic fumes will ever be released. The ceramic non-stick coating and elevated texture inside creates air pockets which helps distribute the heat under the food. This pan is the perfect size at 10″.

 Ozeri Green Earth Pan

I thought the best way to review this pan would

be to show you what I cooked in it and how it turned out.

I had wanted to make these hashbrowns

for a while. They are the same type of product that

I cooked with in several restaurants, but I was unaware

that they were available for home use.

I was excited to see how the Ozeri Green Earth Pan would do.

Before you use your pan for the first time you

should season it with oil. Use a 1/2 teaspoon or less of

olive or  vegetable oil. You want to create a thin film.

I rubbed the oil into the pan using a paper towel.

You could use butter or natural oils, like coconut oil if you want to.

You only need a bit! Wipe off any excess.

Here are the directions for the potatoes.

Notice where it says to add the 2 tablespoons of oil.

I didn’t add any. It isn’t necessary for this pan.

I poured the entire box into the pan.

The directions called for medium high heat.

I used medium heat because the Ozeri Green earth Pan

uses a lower heat source. The pan is a better conductor of heat

than traditional pans, and I didn’t want my potatoes to burn.

I followed the directions as far as time, and the

potatoes browned beautifully. This was after my first turn.

The potatoes got brown just like I wanted.

I did add a pat of butter at the end, but it was for flavor.

the potatoes were already brown and deliciously cooked

in the Ozeri Green Earth Pan!

Don’t they look beautiful!

After breakfast, I went to clean the pan, and what a breeze it was!

I used hot soapy water and a soft cloth.

Isn’t this a genius idea?

Just put this in the pan when you go to store it in the

cabinet or drawer. You can put your smaller pans on top of it

and there is no risk of damage to your pan.

No scratches = longer use and better performance!

Since, making the potatoes in this wonderful pan, I have also

cooked chicken breast, hamburgers, and chicken fried rice.

All of the food was wonderful and tasty, and we used little to no oil

when cooking. The pan is still in perfect condition and it is such a pleasure to cook with.
