Asian Rice Recipe
This Asian rice makes rice taste even better with its delicious savory flavor. It's a great side dish to have with grilled meats or fish. This rice dish is packed with flavor! It's now a regular in my kitchen. It doesn't take much extra time to make this rice compared to plain rice, but it's totally worth it. Adding a couple more ingredients makes a big difference in how tasty it is.

- 3 cups Chicken stock
- 1 1/2 cups Jasmine rice
- 1 tbp Low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- ½ cup Frozen peas Optional
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt if needed
- 2 Green onions thinly sliced
Bring the chicken stock and jasmine rice to a boil in a big pot.
Reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 18 minutes until the rice is cooked.
Once it's done, mix in the soy sauce and sesame oil.
If you want, add the frozen peas and stir until they're heated through.
Taste it and add salt if you think it needs it, then sprinkle with green onions.
Keep it covered until you're ready to eat.
- Frozen peas: If you like peas, toss them in. They add some colour and extra flavour to the rice.
- Sesame oil: This oil adds a nutty taste to the rice, making it extra yummy.
- Kosher salt: Just a little sprinkle if needed. It enhances the flavours without being too salty.
- Low-sodium soy sauce: Adds a bit of salty flavour to the rice. It's not too salty, so it's perfect for seasoning.
