Start by washing the tomatoes and basil leaves well and drying them.
Get fresh, ripe tomatoes and cut off any parts you don't want.
Slice the tomatoes into pieces about 1 cm thick.
Cut the mozzarella cheese into thick slices too
Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices on a plate however you like
Put basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices, or chop them up and sprinkle them on.
Pour some extra virgin olive oil over everything
If you want, add a little balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
Sprinkle on some black pepper and salt to taste
Serve it up right away and enjoy your tasty meal!
