  • Large mixing bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Fruit peeler (for fruits like apples or pears) Optional

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple peeled and cut into slices
  • 1 Pear sliced
  • 2 Bananas peeled and sliced
  • 3 Kiwi fruits peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 2 Oranges peeled and segmented
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tbsp Mint freshly chopped

Instructions

  • Wash all the fruits under cold water and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  • Peel and slice the apple, pear, bananas, kiwi fruits, and clementines as directed.
  • Combine all the sliced fruits in a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over the fruits.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the honey and lime juice until well combined.
  • Drizzle the honey-lime mixture over the fruits in the mixing bowl.
  • Gently toss the fruits to coat them evenly with the honey-lime dressing.
  • Sprinkle the poppy seeds and freshly chopped mint over the fruit salad.
  • Toss lightly again to distribute the poppy seeds and mint throughout the salad.
  • Transfer the fruit salad to a serving bowl and serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For a Mediterranean touch, sprinkle some unsweetened shredded coconut.
  • Add a tablespoon of pomegranate molasses to the dressing for a tangy-sweet flavour.
  • This fruit salad is tastiest on the day it's made but can stay good in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • You can prepare this Winter Fruit Salad up to 5 hours before serving, but it's best to add lemon juice to keep the fruits fresh. After that, the fruits might get too soft and the salad won't look as nice.
