  • Start by washing and trimming the green beans, removing any stems or damaged ends. Place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Spritz or drizzle the beans lightly with olive oil, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Toss gently with tongs or a spatula to distribute the oil and seasonings.
  • Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, then give everything a good toss again to evenly season.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 3 minutes. Line the basket with parchment paper or lightly spray with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  • Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd so they can crisp evenly.
  • Cook the green beans for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the beans halfway through to promote even browning and crispness.
  • Check the beans after 8 minutes; they should be blistered with golden brown spots and crispy on the edges. If needed, cook for another minute or two until they reach your preferred crunch.
  • Transfer the cooked green beans to a serving dish. If desired, sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan or lemon zest for extra flavor.
