  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the 12 pretzel sticks in a wheel-spoke pattern, leaving enough space between them for the chocolate web.
  • Transfer the melted white chocolate to a pastry bag fitted with a Wilton #3 tip.
  • Arrange your pretzels on a piece of parchment paper, on a baking sheet, to look like a wheel spoke
  • Pipe a small center that connects all the pretzel spokes.
  • Starting from the center, pipe circles around the pretzels, continuing outward until the web is complete. Place the gummy spider in the center of the chocolate web.
  • Refrigerate the baking sheet until the chocolate is completely chilled and hardened.
  • Once firm, carefully peel the chocolate spider web away from the parchment paper and serve.

Notes

  • Melt gently: Keep the water at a low boil and avoid getting water into the chocolate.
  • Use parchment: It makes it much easier to remove the hardened web without breaking it.
  • Pipe quickly: Work while the chocolate is fluid so the web connects properly to the pretzels.
  • Keep the web on the baking sheet: Refrigerate it on the same sheet until completely hardened.
  • Handle carefully: The chocolate web is delicate, so peel it from the parchment slowly and support it from underneath.
