Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups watermelon chunks seedless if possible
  • 2 tablespoons honey preferably floral honey
  • 1 cup water for the honey syrup
  • 4 ounces gin
  • to taste lime juice optional, for balancing sweetness
  • melon slices melons for garnish such as honeydew or cantaloupe
  • fresh mint sprigs mint for garnish

  • Begin by blending the watermelon chunks until smooth and vibrant pink in color.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the honey syrup by combining water and honey in a small saucepan. Warm gently over low heat, stirring until the honey dissolves completely. Let it cool slightly.
  • Strain the watermelon pureĆ© through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove any pulp for a smoother drink.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then pour in the watermelon juice, a splash of lime juice if desired, the cooled honey syrup, and gin.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and slightly frothy.
  • Strain the mixture into pre-chilled glasses, ensuring a clear, inviting color.
  • Garnish with thin melon slices and a sprig of fresh mint for a fresh, visual touch.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the crisp, refreshing flavors and beautiful presentation.

Notes

Make sure to chill your glasses beforehand for maximum refreshment. Adjust the amount of lime or honey to suit your taste preferences. For a more botanical note, add a few drops of floral bitters.
