Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Tea infuser or teapot
  • Frothing pitcher or small saucepan
  • Milk frother or whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Earl Grey tea bag
  • 1 cup hot water just off the boil
  • 1 cup milk whole or your preferred variety
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla syrup

Instructions

  • Place the Earl Grey tea bag into a cup and pour hot water over it. Steep for about 3-4 minutes until the tea is strong and fragrant, then remove the tea bag.
  • Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until it begins to steam, just before boiling. Use a milk frother or whisk to create a velvety foam until the milk has doubled in volume and develops a smooth, creamy texture.
  • Add the vanilla syrup to the brewed tea and stir gently to combine, releasing a sweet, fragrant aroma. Pour the steamed milk into the tea, holding back the foam with a spoon.
  • Gently spoon the frothy milk foam on top of the tea, creating a thick layer of white foam. Let the latte sit for a moment to settle, with the foam floating on top.
  • Finish by spooning or pouring the remaining milk foam onto the top for a fluffy cap and a visually appealing layered effect. Serve immediately in your favorite mug, enjoying the fragrant, creamy beverage.
