- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- ⅔ cup milk or more as needed
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 ½ cups hot water
Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and add butter to the cake pan, allowing it to melt.
Make Batter: In a bowl, combine self-rising flour, white sugar, milk, and vanilla. Stir until smooth, adding more milk if necessary to reach pouring consistency.
