However you like to make it – whether you grill it, toast the bread, or eat it as it is – this mortadella sandwich is always tasty. It's made with fresh ingredients, and you can use different breads and cheeses if you prefer. Our version of this sandwich is inspired by one we tried before, but we added our own special touch. This sandwich is our homemade version of the ones you often see in Italian sandwich shops.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices Sandwich bread
  • 2 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup Baby arugula or as much as you like
  • 2 to 3 slices Tomato
  • 5 to 6 sliced Pickled banana peppers
  • ½ Roasted red pepper
  • Sliced Cheddar cheese add as much as you want
  • 3 to 4 slices Red onion
  • 3 to 4 slices Mortadella you can choose light or regular

Instructions
 

  • Toast your bread until it's nice and golden.
  • Spread mayo on one slice and mustard on the other.
  • Now, the fun part: start layering on the arugula, tomato, banana peppers, roasted red pepper, cheddar cheese, red onion, and mortadella.
  • Place the other bread slice on top to finish your sandwich.
  • Serve it up and get ready for a flavor-packed meal!

  • Choose your favourite bread: Ciabatta or sourdough works well.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Tomatoes, arugula, and red onions add freshness.
  • Add extras for flavour: Cheese, pesto, or roasted red peppers can enhance the taste.
