About Me

Hi, I’m Noah Baker, the person behind TheFreshmanCook.

Originally, I started this blog as a means to keep track of recipes I enjoyed making because I got tired of searching through notes, saved links, and random scraps of paper whenever I wanted to make something again.

Over time, those recipes turned into something much bigger. Friends started asking for the cookies I brought over, the dinners I made during the week, and the dishes that somehow disappeared before everyone got a second serving.

I’m not someone who believes cooking has to be complicated. Some of my favorite recipes are the ones that are easy to make, don’t require a long list of ingredients, and turn out great every single time.

That’s what I try to share here — recipes that fit into real life. The kind of meals you make on a busy evening, the desserts you bring to a gathering, and the classics you come back to because everyone loves them.

When I’m not working on recipes, I enjoy experimenting with new ideas, taking food photos, and finding little ways to make everyday cooking more enjoyable. My rescue dog Basil is also always nearby, waiting patiently for his chance to approve whatever comes out of the kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by TheFreshmanCook. I hope you find something here that you’ll want to make again and again.

Happy cooking!
