Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds broccoli cut into florets.

  • Juice from half a lemon of about 1 tablespoon
  • Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Turn the oven on to 450°F.

    Roasted Broccoli Recipe
  • Add a generous amount of salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Bake until the stems are soft, 12 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve right away and savor.

Notes

  • Broccoli stems can also be roasted; however, before roasting, remove the fibrous outer layer with a vegetable peeler to prevent the stem from becoming too rough to eat.
  • You can add extra taste to your garnishes. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice (plus points for adding lemon zest, too) or a drizzle of thick balsamic vinegar or reduction are my favorite ways to end broccoli.
