How Do I Stop My Salad From Getting Too Watery?

How Do I Stop My Salad From Getting Too Watery?

When you put salt in the salad, it can make it watery because it draws out moisture from the veggies. But with the amounts we’re using, it’s not a big problem.

If your salad does get too watery after sitting in the fridge overnight, just mix in a spoonful of mayo, sour cream, or olive oil. These ingredients help soak up the extra water and make your salad creamy without being too watery.

Can I Prepare This Recipe Ahead of Time?

You can make this salad a few hours before you plan to eat. Just mix everything, cover it, and put it in the fridge. When it’s time to eat, give it another stir to make sure all the flavours are mixed well. Then, it’ll be nice and fresh when you enjoy it!

Does Adding Mayo to a Chicken Salad Make it Okay For a Keto Diet?

Mayonnaise is something people on the keto diet often like. Most store-bought mayo has hardly any carbs. And if you make it yourself, it’s just eggs, oil, and flavouring. So, whether you buy it or make it, mayo is a good choice for keto!
