I have another fun treat for 4th of July today! This little treat is so simple to make, and quick too!
4th of July Firecracker (printable recipe at end of page)
Cooking Spray
Clear plastic shot cups from Dollar Tree
3 colors of Candy Melts~red, white, and blue
Red licorice strings
Scotch Tape Spray cooking spray into each cup. Use a paper towel to spread a light layer all around the cups.
Spoon melted red candy melt into each cup. Fill 1/3 of the way up.
Let set up.
Once the red layer is set hard, add the white layer. Fill the next third of the cup with the white candy melt.
Fill the final third of the cup with the blue candy melts. Take one of the licorice ropes and pull one strand from the rope. Cut it into thirds. Once the blue candy melts are poured, place one end of the licorice into the center of the cup. Let it fold over, and tape the end to the cup. Let blue layer set up. Â
Cut licorice to resemble wicks. They can be tall or short. I like the tall ones, but I think all of them are cute! Remove candy from cups by putting very slight pressure on side and bottom of cup. It will release itself quickly. Celebrate!Â
Thanks for stopping by today!
