– 1 Blender – 1 Chopping-board – 1 Knife
– 4 cups mixed fresh or dried fruits such as apples, pears, berries, plums, apricots – 6 cups water – 1/2 cup sugar adjust to taste – Optional: cinnamon sticks cloves, lemon peel
1. Rinse and prepare the fruits as needed. If using fresh fruits, core, peel, and chop them into chunks. If using dried fruits, rinse them thoroughly. 2. In a large pot, combine the prepared fruits with water and sugar.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. 4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the Kompot simmer gently for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more sugar.
6. Remove the pot from heat and allow the Kompot to cool slightly. 7. Strain the Kompot through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the fruit solids. 8. Serve the Kompot warm or chill it in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.
